Frequently asked questions

How do I find my dog's size?

Measure snugly around the base of your dog's neck using a soft tape measure - this is where the collar sits day to day, not the top of the neck. Keep it flat against the coat.

Then match your measurement to the size below:

  • Extra Small (19 - 25cm) | 16mm wide
  • Small (25 - 31cm) | 16mm wide
  • Medium (31 - 37cm) | 19mm wide
  • Large (37 - 43cm) | 19mm wide
  • Extra Large (43 - 49cm) | 25mm wide

Where possible, choose the size where your measurement falls in the middle of the range - this gives you the most adjustment room either side.

If your dog sits right on the border between two sizes, size up. If you're unsure, drop us a message before ordering - we're happy to help.

What is BioThane and why do we use it for our canine products?

BioThane is a coated webbing that looks and feels like leather but performs like nothing else. It's waterproof, stink-proof, and wipe-clean - meaning whatever your dog rolls in, the collar stays fresh.

Unlike fabric or nylon, nothing absorbs into BioThane. Water runs off. Mud wipes away in seconds. There's no moisture sitting against your dog's coat and no smell building up over time.

It's flexible in cold weather, won't stiffen or crack, and holds its colour walk after walk. The same material has been used in equestrian tack, medical equipment, and military gear for decades - it's built to last.

How do I care for my new collar?

Wipe with a damp cloth after muddy walks, or rinse under the tap if needed. A small amount of mild soap can be used for anything more stubborn. Air dry - do not tumble dry.

That's genuinely all it needs. BioThane doesn't absorb dirt or odour, so there's no scrubbing, no soaking, and no conditioning required.
