It turns the everyday headcollar you already own into a bitless bridle in about a minute: unbuckle the two connectors, thread one through the square on each side of your headcollar, fasten them together under the chin, then clip your reins to the O-rings and off you go. As far as we know, it's the UK's first bitless adapter made for the headcollar you already have.

I designed it because my own mare, Patsy, was never quite happy in a bit. I didn't want to spend a fortune finding out whether bitless suited her, and I couldn't find a thing that simply worked with the headcollar already hanging in the tack room — so I made one. It worked for us. Bitless is a personal thing, and every horse and rider are on their own journey; Rein Ready is just an easy, affordable way to see where yours might go.

The chin is where it counts. A softly padded chin piece in Sympa-Nova® — a cushioned, skin-friendly foam certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 — sits against your horse, stays dirt- and water-resistant, and wipes clean in seconds. Everything works from the noseband and chin rather than the mouth, and because the straps are genuine BETA BioThane®, they hold their colour through rain, sweat, sun and mud without soaking up a drop.

Rein Ready is one size, made to fit most horses and ponies on a standard headcollar — there's no fiddly sizing to work out. The padded chin section measures 20cm long by 2.5cm wide.

How does Rein Ready actually work?

No — that's the whole idea. Rein Ready is made to work with the everyday headcollar you already have. If your headcollar fits your horse, Rein Ready will thread straight onto it.

Is bitless right for my horse?

That's a personal thing, and every horse and rider are on their own journey — it's how you use any piece of kit, far more than what you use. Rein Ready simply makes trying bitless easy and affordable, without buying a whole new bridle first. What's the padded chin made of?

A cushioned foam called Sympa-Nova® — soft against your horse, dirt- and water-resistant, wipe-clean, and certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (tested for skin-friendliness). It keeps things comfortable where the adapter sits under the chin.

What size is it, and will it fit my horse?

How do I look after it?

Beautifully easily — a wipe with a damp cloth and it's done. The BioThane straps won't crack, fade or go stiff, and the Sympa-Nova chin wipes clean too. No oiling, no conditioning, whatever the weather throws at it.

Can I get a colour you don't list?
