Rain, mud, sweat - nothing affects it. After a wet session, simply rinse and hang to dry. It won't hold moisture against your horse and won't develop odour.

If you need to tie your horse using this rope, always use a loop of baling twine or a purpose-made breakaway tie between the rope and the tying point. This gives you a breakaway point in case your horse pulls back, reducing the risk of injury to your horse or damage to the rope. Never tie directly to a fixed object without a breakaway safety measure.

There's no single measurement that decides the size. It's how the nose, chin, cheek piece, throatlash and head piece work together - and that's different for every horse. If your horse falls between two sizes, always size up. A halter that's a touch generous is far kinder than one where the knots press into the sensitive nerves on his cheeks.

And if he lands between sizes across the board, or is simply a shape all of his own, drop me a message via the Contact Us page with his measurements before ordering and I'll hand-tie a size to fit him exactly.

My boy is an American Quarter horse. I've found rope halters made in the UK for native breeds don't fit him quit right, particularly around his jaw. I took measurements which Sophia's helped me with, sent them to her, and what Sophia made me fits exactly as I wanted it to!

How do I find my horses size?

Measure the nose circumference where a cavesson noseband would sit, keeping the tape snug but not tight. Then match your measurement to the size guide image in the product photos above.
